June 30, 2021 – The Erdel Family Memorial Award 2021, First Place

Glimpse of Lace was awarded first place in the Erdel Family Memorial Award, 2021 for 2,000 word paranormal romance. My first attempt at both romance and paranormal. Big challenge. I wanted the paranormal to draw in the reader and not be creepy or off-putting. Let me know what you think. I can see a novel emerging from this short story. Kind of fell in love with the characters, but that is not unusual for me.

Glimpse of Lace is a short story about a young woman who gets visions of the tragic endings of her potential romantic relationships before they can even begin. While skiing with friends at Sugarloaf Mountain, she gets a glimpse but can she trust that this time it’s finally promising a happy ending?
